Cocina Dominicana is a restaurant social venture of Open Gate International (OGI), founded in 2016 by Deidre Pujols. Through an accredited culinary training program and life skills mentoring, OGI empowers survivors of human trafficking, violence, homelessness and other forms of abuse and oppression to find their way back into society. Cocina Dominicana is proud to serve authentic food from the Dominican Republic, and to dedicate our profits to fueling the journeys of survivors out of trauma and into lives of their own making.
